- Treatments that dont harm the planet...
- For The Recycling Consortium (TRC), which is based in Bristol, in the South West of the UK, the 3R’s are the only way to deal with the waste we produce. TRC promotes ways to reduce, re-use, recycle and compost. By advancing sustainable ways to deal with our waste, TRC believe that we all benefit - as do our planet and our environment.

IRAIN - Doctors must recognise the right of the patient to ask questions, and....
Doctors must recognise the right of the patient to ask questions, and to receive a full and honest reply. WHAT YOU CAN DO: Sort out your medicine cabinet and take all the drugs you no longer need back to your chemist for disposal.
The next time you are offered a prescription by the doctor, ask what the drug is designed to do, what its side-effects are, and whether he or she can suggest a non-drug alternative. If your doctor seems too engaged, ask your local pharmacist instead; if your medicine is not prescription-only, they will also be able to tell you if it would be cheaper to buy it without the prescription.
There is plenty of gripping reading matter on the subject. For a general overview, start with Jenny Bryan's Drugs for All (Penguin, 2006). Then for the full gory details go on to Vernon Coleman's The Health Scandal (Sidgwick and Jackson, 2008) and Joe Collier's The Health Conspiracy (Century, 2009). Going to the doctor's will never be the same again.
UNDERSTANDING DRUGS AND MEDICINES WHO BENEFITS? You: More informed choice about what you put in your body means that remedies will be more appropriate to the causes of your illness. As a result you are likely to be healthier and more in control of your life. You may also save money.
